Miniature Cattle
Miniature Herefords are an excellent breed for the smaller farmer. They require less acerage, are extremely docile and easy to handle. They are early to mature, very fertile and calve easily. They are thick, deep bodied, short legged and muscular in appearance. The Mini Herefords are easy keepers, excellent feed converters and require no special feed. The Miniature Hereford boasts a greater tenderness of their beef and a larger rib-eye area per hundredweight. They are very hardy and adapt well to any environment. Because of their sweet, gentle nature they are excellent for 4-H & FFA projects!!
*****10-14-09*****WE ARE SO EXCITED TO REPORT THAT WE WERE INVITED TO BE A PART OF THE FARM BEREAU'S AGRIGULTURAL EXHIBIT AT THE VIRGINIA STATE FAIR THIS YEAR. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME, MET SO MANY NICE PEOPLE AND ARE THRILLED WE HAVE BEEN INVITED BACK FOR NEXT YEAR. THE PHOTOS ABOVE ARE SOME TAKEN AT THE FAIR. TJ IS 8 WEEKS OLD IN THIS PHOTO. HE & HIS MOM BEHAVED BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT THE FAIR'S 11 DAY STAY AND WERE PERFECT AMBASSADORS FOR THE BREED. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL THAT WE HAD THIS OPPORTUNITY AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR! GOD IS GOOD!
Below are 2 of our Miniature Herefords, Tucker, our bull (frame score 00) and Faith, our cow (frame score 000). You couldn't ask for two nicer Miniature Herefords; Both are very docile and easy to handle. They are excellent examples of the breed and we are extremely grateful to Roy Largent for sending Faith to us and for helping us find a bull to compliment her pedigree. We look forward to their future calves. Our calves will range $600.00 to $2500.00. (PHOTO TAKEN MARCH OF 2005.)

This is Annie, our Miniature Black Angus. She was a bottle fed baby so she is very sweet and loves her brushings! We thank the Scheibs for allowing Annie to come live with us! (PHOTO TAKEN 2007)
